Product Details
Discover the real Toyama on a private e-bike tour with a local guide. Ride through hidden countryside roads, enjoy peaceful Tateyama mountain views, and experience local food culture beyond the usual tourist spots.
Begin at a pear orchard known for Toyama’s brand fruit, Kureha pears. Enjoy a downhill ride with panoramic views of the city, Toyama Bay, and the Tateyama Mountain Range. During harvest season, taste fresh pears and buy them directly from the farm (optional, at your own expense).
Next, ride through a serene rural area where mountains reflect in rice paddies like a water mirror. Travel along quiet back roads at a pace suitable for beginners.
At lunchtime, stop at Kurosakiya, a local fish and deli shop. Purchase fresh sashimi and homemade deli items for an authentic Toyama dining experience (optional, at your own expense).
Enjoy an exclusive visit to Fumigiku Sake Brewery, a brewery with more than 100 years of history that is currently not open to the general public. Tour the brewery and its production facilities while learning about the sake-making process and the connection between Toyama’s water, rice, natural environment, and brewing traditions, with interpretation provided by an English-speaking guide.
After the tour, taste Haneya, the brewery’s signature sake brand, which has received international recognition, including a Platinum Award at Kura Master and Gold Medals in the IWC SAKE category for two consecutive years. Compare its aromas, flavors, and finishes during this premium small-group experience, available by advance reservation only.
Private vehicle transportation is included. The areas visited and the tour content may change depending on the brewery’s operating and production schedule. Alcohol cannot be served to guests under 20, pregnant guests, or anyone planning to drive. After the tasting, guests will travel by private vehicle and will not ride an e-bike.
The tour culminates at Maedahan Nagaokayama Goryo Shinkokuji, a temple with a majestic landscape of stone lanterns. Your guide will explain the local history and significance of the site.
This half-day course, packed with urban and natural beauty, food, and history, is perfect for travelers with limited time or those seeking a memorable experience across generations. With e-bikes, hills are easy to navigate, making it suitable for those not confident in their fitness or returning to cycling after a break. Helmets and a pre-ride briefing ensure safety. The route is flexible, adapting to weather and participants’ fitness, with the best photo spots and rest areas suggested.
